I recently finished the initial writing of my latest novel ‘A Little Ways Down the Road’. This new book follows my long standing character Cameron Willis as she sets out on a road trip with girlfriend Alex with the goal of scattering the ashes of Alex’s deceased mother. Along the way they get into a number of scrapes, crossing paths with unexpected adversaries whilst also experiencing a journey of self-discovery.
I went into this novel as a bit of an experiment, the idea initially being a series of short stories with a theme that joins them together. I think it’s turned out a little different to that in the end, but I’m very happy with the end result. Over the next few weeks I’ll be polishing and editing before a potential release on Amazon in October.
For those who might have read my ‘Dying Games Saga’, this novel I consider to be a stand-alone continuation, which ties in with the other novels and builds further on the lore I’ve created.
Well, enough from me for now. Check out my cover design below and make sure to keep an eye on this website (or my socials) for further updates. Craig.

Synopsis
One road trip. Two girls. A final farewell.
Setting out to scatter a mother’s ashes, young lovers Alex and Cameron hope to find closure at the end of their journey, but the open road has other plans. From strangers with deadly secrets to uneasy family confrontations, every stop forces the girls to face not only a past they’ve been avoiding, but also a truth about the world they both inhabit.
What begins as a simple opportunity to get away for a few days becomes a test of love, identity, and survival – a road trip that will challenge who they are, who they’ve been, and who they might become.
A thrilling, stand alone new entry in the ‘Dying Games Saga’.
